Wolverine Crane & Service is expanding in Kalamazoo, MI and hiring skilled Service Technicians to inspect, troubleshoot, and repair overhead bridge cranes, jib cranes, and hoists throughout the Metro Detroit area.
If you are a mechanically inclined industrial technician who enjoys problem-solving, working independently, and earning strong overtime pay — while building ownership in the company you work for — we want to talk to you.
What You'll Do- Perform OSHA/ANSI crane inspections.
- Troubleshoot electrical and mechanical systems.
- Repair motors, brakes, controls, wire rope, and hoists.
- Respond to emergency breakdown calls.
- Complete professional service documentation.
- 3+ years industrial maintenance, electrical, or field service experience.
- Ability to read electrical schematics.
- Comfortable working at heights.
- Strong troubleshooting and diagnostic skills.
- Valid chauffeur driver’s license and be insurable.
- Some of our customers require extensive background checks.
Crane experience is a plus — we will train the right industrial technician.
Physical Requirements- Requires walking, standing, stooping, bending, twisting, and using a lift and other required equipment while diagnosing, inspecting, and performing repairs.
- Able to work with hands overhead for extended period of time.
- Able to frequently lift up to 50 pounds and over 50 pounds from time to time.
