JOB TITLE

DEPARTMENT AND LOCATION OF JOB

Information Technology, Blake Hall, FVCC Kalispell Campus

ELIGIBILITY

Students must be Work Study Eligible (as determined by Financial Aid)

START DATE

This position will start Fall Semester 2025

LENGTH OF EMPLOYMENT

Academic Calendar Year 2025/2026

PAY RANGE

$13.00 to $14.00 per hour depending on experience

WORK SCHEDULE

Flexible schedule between Monday and Saturday, 7 a.m. to 7 p.m.; may work up to 19 hours per week.

DRESS CODE

Casual wear with appropriate coverage

POSITION PURPOSE/ROLE

Under minimal supervision, supports the Education Computer Labs

POSITION DUTIES
  • Cleans and maintains cleanliness of computer lab environment
  • Assists the occasional student with their technical questions
  • Supplies and Maintains paper in printer
  • May perform other like duties as requested
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
  • Current FVCC student enrolled in a minimum of 6 credits per semester
  • Ability to work under a minimal level of supervision and be self-motivated
  • Possesses basic computer skills
  • Ability to communicate effectively with students and employees
  • Ability to follow direction and procedures
STUDENT SKILLS DEVELOPMENT

Communication, critical thinking, time management, customer service, professionalism

PREDICTED OUTCOME

Practical competence, effective communication, critical thinking, time management, collaboration, professionalism

STUDENT EMPLOYMENT GUIDELINES
  • Students must be enrolled in a minimum of six (6) credits for fall or spring semester to qualify for student employment
  • Students may not work beyond 19 hours per week during semester
  • Student workers shall be actively engaged; no use of cell phones (except in case of emergency) or social media
  • Student workers shall demonstrate a commitment to the job with adherence to work schedule, effective communication/interpersonal skills, and quality customer service skills to be a representative of FVCC
