Job Summary: Northwest Cabinet Works, Inc., a company with over 40 years of experience in the custom cabinet and architectural millwork industry, is looking for a dedicated and experienced Project Manager. We pride ourselves on delivering quality products and exceptional service to our clients. Under general supervision, the Project Manager is responsible for overseeing projects from the signed contract stage to project completion, coordinating, planning, and executing quality engineering solutions to support our manufacturing operations and working closely with cross‑functional teams.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities
  • Utilize ERP (Innergy) to manage and coordinate all project information, including scheduling, BOMs, and job costing.
  • Coordinate and review all construction drawings with the Estimator before work begins.
  • Review project scope, schedule, and specifications.
  • Identify potential quality and cost issues and proactively develop solutions.
  • Ensure timely procurement of essential materials and services.
  • Track and manage project budgets and timelines, ensuring adherence to deadlines.
  • Provide leadership in developing layouts (via AutoCAD) for new or existing products; approve drawing releases.
  • Prepare interim and final project reports, ensuring all technical documentation (drawings, flowcharts, manuals, etc.) is provided to the project owner.
  • Communicate project status from initial review to close‑out with all departments and clients.
  • Manage all client‑approved changes and ensure project completion to the client’s satisfaction.
  • Supervise, coach, and mentor the engineering staff, providing direct leadership and guidance.
  • Ensure compliance with all safety and OSHA standards, maintaining a safe working environment.
  • Attend departmental meetings as required.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
Required

Education and Experience
  • 3+ years of project management experience in Architectural Woodworking/Commercial Casework, with a solid understanding of interior architecture, millwork engineering, cabinetry construction, and Architectural Woodworking Standards (required).
  • Experience performing job take‑offs and estimating (required).
  • Proficiency in AutoCAD and Micro Vellum (preferred).
  • Experience with ERP systems, ideally Innergy (preferred).
  • Ability to read and interpret complex architectural shop drawings.
  • Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record.
  • High proficiency in MS Office Suite (Excel, Word, and Outlook).
  • Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to collaborate effectively as part of a team.
  • Strong organizational skills with attention to detail.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and meet deadlines.

  • Must be able to move around project sites, including climbing ladders and stairs.
  • Generally operates in a professional office environment using standard office equipment. The noise level in the office is usually quiet but may occasionally be moderate.
