Position: Speech Language Pathologist (SLP)

A great Skilled Nursing Facility (SNF) is looking for an experienced, hard-working Speech Language Pathologist to join their growing team in Kalispell, MT
.

The Speech Language Pathologist performs comprehensive evaluation and treatment as prescribed by a physician, to improve or restore a patient’s ability to function independently. He/she will plan, organize, develop, and administer speech therapy services to ensure safe and effective treatment plans for patients.

Job Description
  • Provides treatment programs to maximize speech, language, cognitive, and swallowing abilities within each patient’s structural or functional limitations
  • Utilizes appropriate evaluation tools and completes accurate evaluations.
  • Supervises Clinical Fellow and other SLPs in direct patient care and patient-related activities.
  • Writes specific, objective documentation, which is outcome-oriented and details the patient’s needs, potential to benefit from treatment, and progress achieved to date. Includes specific, objective measurable goals.
  • Manages Medicare Medical Review and Denials process in conjunction with Director of Rehabilitation and therapy staff
Qualifications
  • Availability to work full-time as a Licensed Speech Language Pathologist (
    SLP
    ) in Montana
  • Bachelor’s or Master’s Degree in Speech Pathology from an accredited Speech Therapy program.
  • Knowledge in Speech-Language Pathology evaluation and treatment as they relate to medically based speech, language, and swallowing disorders.
  • Ability to supervise and direct assistants and aides.
  • Knowledge of medical terminology.
  • Ability to work with all types and levels of staff and patients.
  • Experience in a skilled nursing facility
  • CPR certified
