Big Sky Specialty Compounding is looking for a dedicated, detail-loving, safety-driven Pharmacist-in-Charge (PIC) and Director of Compounding to guide our non-sterile compounding operations in beautiful Kalispell, Montana. What

You’ll Do
  • Lead pharmacy operations with full responsibility for compliance, quality, and safety.
  • Oversee and participate in preparing high‑quality non‑sterile compounded medications.
  • Ensure strict adherence to USP and USP standards.
  • Develop, implement, and monitor QA programs, training, documentation, audits, and equipment upkeep.
  • Maintain strong safety protocols, including PPE use and hazardous drug handling.
  • Review prescriptions for accuracy and clinical appropriateness.
  • Mentor and support technicians and staff for optimal workflow and continuous improvement.
  • Partner with clinicians, providers, and patients to support exceptional medication therapy outcomes.
  • Troubleshoot, innovate, and think creatively to deliver outstanding compounding solutions.
  • Bring adaptability, problem‑solving, and a can‑do attitude to daily operations.
What You Bring
  • Pharm

    D or Bachelor of Pharmacy from an accredited institution.
  • Experience in non‑sterile compounding, including hazardous drug handling.
  • Strong working knowledge of USP and .
  • Leadership experience or prior PIC role strongly preferred.
  • Excellent communication, organization, and team leadership skills.
  • A self‑driven mindset, Montana‑style work ethic, and a positive, collaborative approach.
  • A desire to manage the compounding pharmacy as if it were your own—with full support from our team.
Bonus Skills
  • Experience in compounding or specialty pharmacy settings.
  • Familiarity with PK compounding software and QA systems.
  • Proven training, coaching, and supervisory strengths.
