Job OverviewThe Self‑Help Law Program is a free service provided by the Montana Supreme Court to assist the public with civil, non‑criminal legal problems. The Self‑Help Law Center Facilitator (facilitator) oversees day‑to‑day operations of the Kalispell Self‑Help Center located in the Flathead County Courthouse, provides in‑person and remote assistance, and recruits volunteers.
Responsibilities- Staff and manage the Self‑Help Law Center during designated hours.
- Assist public users in finding legal information, forms, and referrals.
- Provide remote assistance via phone, webcam, or online chat to users in other jurisdictions.
- Coordinate equipment, supplies, and office services for the center.
- Create and distribute outreach and educational materials.
- Recruit, train, and supervise volunteers, including pro‑bona attorneys.
- Maintain intake, survey, and tracking records using program‑created forms.
- Perform other duties as assigned, while not providing legal advice.
- Two years’ experience in the legal field, preferably as a paralegal or legal secretary.
- College degree in paralegal studies or a similar field preferred.
- Experience working with people from diverse socioeconomic, cultural, and ethnic groups with limited financial resources preferred.

Salary: $24.29 per hour. Telework:

Schedule:
Full‑time, day shift. Travel:
Approximately 5% of the time.
