The Role
Compensation: $65,000 - $68,000 + Quarterly bonus potential + Commissions (Final compensation will be determined based on experience, skills, and qualifications.)
Schedule: Monday - Friday, 9am - 6pm
The Community Manager oversees all facets of property(s) operations to achieve financial goals and ownership objectives while adhering to all Roundhouse policies, applicable laws and ordinances including Fair Housing, and Equal Employment laws.
Key Responsibilities- Oversee daily property operations, including maintenance, leasing, and resident relations.
- Develop and implement leasing, marketing, and retention strategies to achieve occupancy and revenue goals.
- Maintain accurate records: lease agreements, resident information, financial data, and deposit accounting.
- Partner with the Regional Manager to establish property goals and create strategies to meet them.
- Manage vendor relationships, negotiate contracts, and ensure timely, cost‑effective service delivery.
- Conduct regular property inspections to ensure maintenance, curb appeal, and safety standards are met.
- Address and resolve resident concerns promptly and professionally.
- Manage rent collection, monitor delinquency, and oversee all financial obligations.
- Prepare monthly and annual performance reports, including financials and occupancy metrics.
- Oversee maintenance team performance, ensuring timely turns, work order completion, inspections, and capital project execution.
- Plan and support resident events and community engagement activities.
- Demonstrate forward thinking, professionalism, teamwork, and a commitment to excellence.
- Follow all safety procedures as outlined in the Employee Handbook, SOPs, and safety labels on all equipment.
- Ensure compliance with Fair Housing laws, safety regulations, and company policies.
- Always represent the company in a positive and professional manner.
Required:
- Three to five years of previous experience as a Community Manager, Assistant Community Manager, or successful completion of a management‑focused Roundhouse development program.
- Must have a real estate license or ability to obtain one within 120 days of employment if required by state law.
- Proven supervisory and problem‑solving skills.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite – Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Teams, and Outlook.
- Experience with property management software preferred (Yardi Voyager, Rent Cafe, Yieldstar, AIRM, LEO, Appwork, CRM).
- Knowledge of applicable laws and regulations related to property management.
- Customer service oriented and passion for property management.
- Strong desire to lead in your role and the local community.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Preferred:
- Bachelor’s degree in business administration, real estate, or a related field.
