The traveler must reside within 300 miles of the facility. The facility has a total of 110 beds. Candidates must have experience working with geriatrics and post-acute medical/surgical patients. The Transitional Care Unit (TCU) serves patients who will go to home, hospice, or long-term care. Patients may be on feeding pumps in the TCU area. Patient ratios are as follows: 1:20 during the day in long-term care, 1:12 in TCU, and overnight ratios of 1:38 in long-term care and 1:15 in TCU.

Required skills for CNAs include catheter care, dressing changes, and assisting with mobility and personal care. Candidates may be asked to take on a charge role and must be comfortable doing so. Support on the unit includes a ratio of 1:10 for CNAs during the day and 1:18 re is a receptionist available during weekdays, and a resident care manager oversees nursing staff.

Phlebotomy services are provided by the hospital. IV teams are also available from the hospital. There are a total of seven nurses on the day shift and five on the night shift when the facility is at full capacity. Technology used includes electronic medical records, medication dispensing systems, and IV pumps. Floating between units can occur as needed. The schedule consists of a six-week cycle, managed by the nursing leadership.

Weekend rotations are every other weekend, and holiday expectations include every other holiday.
