Purpose of PositionThe Pilot is responsible to provide a superior air transportation experience with a continued safety record second to none on each and every flight. The Pilot is the face of Net Jets, delivering technically accurate and safe transportation and an exceptional service experience for every Net Jets Owner and passenger. The Pilot must carry out multiple roles – from professional aviator to in‑flight service provider – while maintaining a professional demeanor in full command of the aircraft at all times.
Tasksand Responsibilities
- Safe operation of the aircraft from taxi, take‑off, to landing per FAA guidelines, OEM checklists, Net Jets Flight Operations Manual, or Aircraft Operating Manual and SOPs.
- Greet Owners/passengers pre‑flight, make introductions, brief them on the flight, verify itinerary, provide weather updates and safety briefings, and explain itinerary changes.
- Deliver as needed in‑flight service, including handling of alcohol and catering.
- Load and properly stow all baggage on the aircraft.
- Handle flights for Owners with pets and those who smoke.
- Act as the final authority on all operational matters, ensuring compliance with safety and regulatory guidance.
- Serve as liaison for Owners/passengers and Net Jets from arrival at the FBO to final touchdown and departure from the final FBO.
- Communicate maintenance abnormalities or discrepancies to the Company via the Maintenance Control Center (MCC) and complete all related paperwork.
- Perform additional duties as assigned, depending on the position.
High School
Certifications and Licenses– Written FAA Airline Transport Pilot (ATP)

- At least 21 years of age.
- 1,500 total flight hours (or equivalent requirements as detailed below).
- 200 flight hours cross‑country (>50 nm).
- 250 hours fixed‑wing PIC.
- 100 nights flying or 75 with ≥45 night take‑offs and landings.
- 75 hours instrument time.
- 50 hours fixed‑wing, multi‑engine time.
- Current FAA First‑Class Medical certificate.
- FCC Restricted Radio Operator’s Permit.
- Valid passport and U.S. work authorization.
- Extremely flexible schedule, including day/night, weekdays, weekends, and holidays.
- Ability to manage rest to be ready for flight duty at all times.
- Capable of handling duty up to fourteen hours per day for up to eight days, possibly spanning multiple time zones and extreme weather.
- Ability to travel internationally without restriction.
- Service‑oriented appearance and strong passenger interaction skills.
- Excellent oral and written communication under pressure.
- Physical capability to move up to 50 pounds occasionally and up to 30 pounds frequently.
- Experience with animals and owners who smoke.
Base Salary Range: $86,015 – $117,706
