Overview
The Assistant Controller supports the Director of Finance in managing financial operations. The role requires strong reporting, analysis, and accounting skills, plus a proactive approach to improving processes.
Responsibilities- Assist with ASPE financial statements and month/quarter/year-end
- Support general ledger, reconciliations, and journal entries
- Contribute to budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis
- Improve visibility on product/customer profitability
- Strengthen internal controls and support audits
- Prepare ad hoc financial reports and support special projects
- 3+ years in a similar role (manufacturing/distribution)
- Strong ASPE/IFRS knowledge; experience with ERP systems
- Advanced Excel/Power BI skills
- Strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills
