Embark on a rewarding journey as a Financial Accountant at Teck's Highland Valley Copper in Logan Lake, BC. This temporary full-time position centers on accounts payable and financial compliance in an on-site capacity.

As the Financial Accountant, you will report directly to the Senior Accountant and be part of a strong finance team that supports vendor interactions and internal audits. You’ll be integral in reviewing invoices, maintaining compliance with financial regulations, and supporting auditing processes. Your expertise will ensure the smooth operation of financial tasks within the Highland Valley Copper team.

Key Responsibilities:

• Ensure safety compliance in the workplace

• Review and process accounts payable requests

• Conduct monthly balance sheet reconciliations

• Prepare and submit ESTMA reports effectively

• Maintain SOX documentation for audits

Requirements:

• At least 2 years of accounting cycle experience

• Degree or diploma in Accounting or Finance

• Strong Excel and analytical skills

• Knowledge of SOX controls

• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
