Use reconciliation and payment expertise to support School District No. 73 as a full-time, permanent Accounting Clerk 2 in Kamloops-Thompson.
As Accounting Clerk 2, you will manage financial records and transactions across accounts payable and receivable. The work includes bank deposits, purchasing card statements, recurring expenses, petty cash, mileage claims, and customer profiles. Strong organization and communication are central to the position.
Key Responsibilities:- Reconcile daily debit and credit card transaction logs
- Reconcile District purchasing cards and monthly BMO statements
- Process recurring utility, transportation, and homestay expenses
- Prepare weekly bank deposits, including bill payments
- Prepare and maintain accounts receivable and payable profiles
- Grade 12 with one-year post-secondary accounting coursework
- Two years of proven computerized accounting experience
- Ability to calculate GST rebates on vendor invoices
- Knowledge of general ledger accounting procedures
- Ability to communicate effectively with employees and suppliers
