Summer Student in Education Administration

Location: Merritt

Enhance your administrative skills this summer as an Education Summer Student. Focus on supporting students and parents while maintaining efficient office operations within the Education department.

This position, reporting to the Education Manager, requires providing essential administrative and clerical support. You'll engage with students and parents, assist in department workflows, and ensure effective communication. Strong organizational and time management skills are key to excel in this role.

Key Responsibilities:

• Handle incoming calls and assist with inquiries

• Schedule appointments and support daily department operations

• Maintain proper filing for correspondence and documentation

• Participate in meetings with students and parents when needed

• Assist in conducting telephone polls for student feedback

Requirements:

• Completed at least one year of post-secondary education

• Experience with First Nation’s organizations desirable

• Class 5 Driver’s license and reliable vehicle

• Preferred background in reception or administration

• Must be willing to submit to a criminal record check
