Be a pivotal part of the BC Wildfire Service as a Wildfire Origin and Cause Clerk. This auxiliary role is focused on managing essential documentation for wildfire investigations based in Kamloops.

The Provincial Wildfire Origin and Cause team is looking for a clerk to enhance their operations concerning wildfire causes and responses. This role encompasses file management, preparing materials for investigations, and ensuring adherence to ministry standards. Collaborating with various agencies, you will play a crucial role in public safety and compliance. Your meticulous organization will support enforcement and legal processes efficiently.

Key Responsibilities:

• Assemble and review wildfire investigation files

• Prepare legal documents and materials for trials

• Maintain accurate records for compliance and documentation

• Coordinate training and policy inputs

• Act as liaison for equipment and operational needs

Requirements:

• Grade 12 or equivalent required

• Strong office experience with computer systems

• Preference for candidates with legal or administrative experience

• Skills in Microsoft Office, Adobe, and EDRMS preferred

• Complete a Criminal Record Check
