Job Summary

The Team
The Service Delivery Division provides income and disability assistance services online, by phone, or face to face in our communities. We strive to ensure our services are reliable, responsive, inclusive, and accessible to all British Columbians who need our support.
The Role
The Administrative and Asset Administrator provides administrative and financial support services, including coordinating the use of equipment and management of assets, including fleet vehicle bookings and maintaining/distributing supplies, to Branch staff throughout the province.
Qualifications:
Education and Experience Requirements

  • Successful completion of Grade 12 or equivalent.

Preference may be given to applicants who have one or more of the following:

  • Experience providing facilities management services.
  • Experience providing records management services.
  • Experience providing financial management services.
  • Experience working with people who are living in poverty, experiencing homelessness and may have mental illness and/or substance use disorders.
  • Experience working with people with disabilities.
  • Due to the nature of this role, preference may be given to qualified applicants who self-identify as Indigenous (First Nations status or non-status, Inuit and/or Métis), LGBTQ2S+, a Person with a Disability, and/or a Visible Minority, with the required combination of education and experience.
  • Must be comfortable working in encampments, on the street and areas where individuals who are experiencing homelessness gather.
  • Practice reasonable precautions in the performance of duties and adhere to all safety rules and practices to ensure personal safety as well as safety to colleagues, clients, and others.

About this Position:
Amendment (September 25):
Position changed is a Temporary Assignment / Auxiliary.
This is a temporary/auxiliary opportunity until April 14, 2028. This position may be extended or become permanent.
This position can be based out of any of the location(s) listed above.
Flexible work options are available; this position may be able to work 2 days at home per week subject to an approved telework agreement.

First six months will be full time in the office.
An eligibility list may be established to fill future temporary and/or permanent vacancies.
Enhanced Security Screening will be required.
Employees of the BC Public Service must be located in BC at the time of employment.
