• Inspect, test and diagnose mechanical, electrical and electronic faults in cars and light trucks using diagnostic equipment
• Adjust, repair or replace parts and systems, including brakes, steering, suspension, engines, drive trains, exhaust and electrical systems
• Perform scheduled maintenance: oil and fluid services, filters, tune‑ups and multi‑point inspections
• Mount, balance and repair tires; perform wheel alignments; complete seasonal tire changeovers
• Consult with customers and service advisors about vehicle problems, required work and estimates
• Complete work orders and service records accurately
• Test‑drive vehicles to confirm repairs
• Keep tools, equipment and work bays clean and safe

• Education:
  
  Secondary school diploma or equivalent
• Certification:
  Automotive Service Technician trade certification or Red Seal endorsement is an asset but is not required. Relevant automotive repair experience is required. Additional on-the-job training will be provided.
• Experience:
  
  1 to 2 years of experience as an automotive service technician or apprentice
• Valid BC driver’s licence (or ability to obtain one)
• Ability to work safely in a shop environment, including standing for long periods and lifting up to [23 kg / 50 lb]
• Reliable, dependable, team player
