Terus Construction, a division of Colas Western Canada Inc., is seeking an Asphalt Roller Operator based in Revelstoke, BC.

• Operate steel‑wheeled, rubber‑tired, vibratory, segmented or other type of roller to compact earth, subgrade, sub‑base and asphalt surfaces.
• Distribute, break down, compress and give a finished surface to cooling asphalt.
• Drive the machine in successive overlapping passes over surfaces to be compacted, rolling subgrade and asphalt to the desired compaction and smoothness.
• Determine speed and direction of the machine based on knowledge of compressibility of material under changing temperatures.
• Push hand roller and pound surfaces, using hand tamp, or guide portable power roller over areas not accessible to road roller.

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Driver’s License (Class
  5).
• Experience in the industry an asset.
• Must be able to meet all safety requirements and applicable safety policies.
• Ability to work overtime as required.

• Required to perform tasks that involve heavy lifting, bending and strenuous movements.
• Must be able to work outdoors in areas that are dusty or dirty.

The anticipated hourly wage for this position is $30‑$34 CAD per hour. The final compensation package will be determined based on factors including the candidate’s job‑related knowledge, skills, and experience.
