Reporting to the Manager Operations, this Junior Estimator position at Dawson Civil is designed for individuals who are motivated and detail-oriented. Candidates should be familiar with estimating methods and possess strong interpersonal skills. The job involves some travel throughout beautiful British Columbia to various construction sites.

Key Responsibilities:

• Create comprehensive project cost estimates

• Review and understand project drawings and documents

• Conduct site visits for detailed information gathering

• Perform quantity takeoffs and assess materials’ costs

• Evaluate subcontractor quotes for thoroughness and pricing

Requirements:

• Engineering degree or technical diploma in Civil Engineering

• 1 to 3 years of relevant construction experience

• Familiarity with estimating software, ideally HCSS

• Excellent attention to detail and strong organizational skills

• Background in estimating or project coordination
