As our organization continues to grow, we are seeking an experienced Project Coordinator to support our expanding portfolio of civil construction projects. This role plays a critical part in ensuring projects are delivered safely, efficiently, and in alignment with client expectations.

About the Role
Reporting to the Project Manager or designate the ideal candidate for this role will have 3-5 years' experience in a Project Management/Coordinator role in civil construction and is competent in managing projects from preliminary stages to substantial completion including:
Civil Earthworks, Deep Utility Installation, Pipeline Clearing and much more.
This position will be required to travel as necessary to support our construction projects. Initially, this position will be assigned to active construction projects in Logan Lake, BC and/or Cache Creek, BC
Who You Are
You are a results-driven construction professional with strong leadership and project management experience in civil construction environments. You understand the complexities of managing multiple projects, coordinating teams, and balancing cost, schedule, and quality.
You are confident working with field teams and stakeholders, making timely decisions, and anticipating project risks before they impact progress. You bring a strong understanding of construction operations, budgeting, and scheduling, along with a commitment to safety and continuous improvement.
You are highly organized, adaptable, and capable of managing competing priorities in a dynamic, project-driven environment.
Responsibilities
Coordinate with Estimating team to ensure that all pre-job requirements are met.
Participate in pre-job meeting to identify action items, KPIs, management of project budget and the effective channels of communication for project.
Understand and communicate the finance of any given job, including project pay items to the management team and client.
Ensure quick, efficient, and effective decision making related to field support.
Provide weekly reporting on job progress, internally and externally, including true-up on job quantities, cost and production quantities.
Ensure effective management of all aspects of the project, including schedule, costs, quantities and quality.
Ability to Price and Manage change orders and extra work orders.
Effective management of all field personnel, maintaining a safety first attitude, and ensuring that all procedures and policies are being properly followed.
Ensure utilization of all available resources, such as technology, equipment, and personnel, to their fullest potential.
Perform and provide accurate material take-offs, create traffic management plans, quality control plans, site safety plans, etc.
Follow up on scheduling variances and adjust production accordingly to ensure that delays are avoided.
Oversee project close out and lead team debrief on project.
Work with clients to ensure satisfaction and manage expectations.
Other duties and responsibilities to ensure the success of the company and it's projects.
Requirements
The ideal candidate has completed University/College degree/diploma in Civil Engineering/Technology field or related field and is eligible for registration as a P. Eng is considered an asset. A combination of relevant education and experience will also be considered.
3-5 years' experience in a Project Management role in civil construction.
Jobsite/Field work experience
Completion of or working towards completion of the PMP Designation is an asset
Competent in managing projects from preliminary stages to substantial completed. Including Civil Earthworks, Deep Utility Installation, Pipeline Clearing and Access Road/Highway Construction
Ability to organize and direct budgets and control costs,
Proficiency with Microsoft Office – Word, Excel, Outlook, Project
Experience with HCSS Heavy Bid, HCSS Heavy Job or Primavera will be highly regarded
Ability to read construction drawings and contracts
Customer-service oriented, confident, calm, and highly professional
Ambitious, enthusiastic, with a drive and willingness to grow with the company
Strong attention to detail, organization and time-managing skills
Ability to establish effective working relationships
Excellent communication skills – verbal and written
Safety Requirements
Valid non-restricted driver's license and clean driver abstract
Corporate Orientations and WHIMIS 2015
Drug and Alcohol testing, as required
Safety certifications (First Aid, CSTS, etc.)…
