Become an HSE Coordinator with Bird Construction in Kamloops, BC. Lead safety initiatives, ensure compliance, and mentor field personnel while nurturing site-specific safety practices.
Reporting to the HSE Manager, you will develop and implement the Industrial Health, Safety, and Environment Management Program. Your proactive engagement with site leadership will help establish a culture of safety, emphasizing control and documentation of worksite hazards. You will also play a crucial role in incident reporting and action planning to enhance safety performance.
Key Responsibilities:
• Lead safety meetings and toolbox talks
• Conduct regular worksite inspections
• Document daily safety observations and hazards
• Facilitate ongoing training and orientation initiatives
• Act as a liaison for safety concerns between client and crew
Requirements:
• CRSP or Occupational Health and Safety Certification
• Minimum 5 years of relevant field experience
• Strong knowledge of safety legislation
• Ability to communicate effectively
• Valid Driver's License
