Asphalt Roller Operator

Position Overview

Dawson Construction is seeking an experienced and motivated Asphalt Roller Operator to support the paving crew.

This role is a temporary, full‑time Asphalt Roller Operator reporting to the Foreperson, based in Kamloops, B.C. and requires travel throughout our province.

• Operate tools and machines to spread, smooth, level, or steel‑reinforce stone or asphalt on roadbeds.
• Inspect, clean, maintain, and repair equipment by conducting pre‑shift inspections and reporting any concerns or malfunctions to supervisors.
• Learn and follow safety regulations.
• Take actions to avoid potential hazards or obstructions, such as utility lines, other equipment, other workers, or falling objects.
• Perform all necessary work while complying with all company policies and procedures.

• Minimum one (1) year asphalt roller experience.
• Previous paving experience is an asset.
• Certifications and applicable tickets are an asset.
• Valid Driver's License.
• Be available for on‑call work.
