Safety Advisor

Position: Safety Advisor at Nhwelmen Construction
Join Nhwelmen Construction as a Safety Advisor focused on promoting a proactive safety culture across multiple sites in British Columbia. Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations while implementing effective training programs.

As a Safety Advisor, you will represent health and safety on assigned sites. Your expertise will help deliver adaptable OHS training and maintain regular communication with Site Leadership. You will identify hazards, liaise with workers, and ensure OHSMS compliance through effective strategies and practices.

Key Responsibilities:

• Deliver and adapt OHS training for all sites

• Conduct on-site safety orientations for workers

• Maintain communication with Site Leadership for compliance

• Advise on hazards and recommend preventative measures

• Conduct daily safety inspections and document findings

Requirements:

• Current CSO or NCSO designation

• Minimum 1 year experience in a health and safety role

• Knowledge of WorkSafeBC legislation

• 2 years hands-on safety experience in construction

• Valid class 5 driver’s license with clean abstract
