Recreation Attendant

Position: City Recreation Attendant Role
Become a vital part of the City of Kamloops as a Recreation Facilities Attendant I, specializing in arena operations. This on-call position promises engaging public interactions and important facility upkeep.

In this role, you'll maintain city arenas, conduct janitorial tasks, and ensure ice conditions are suitable for events. Your proactive approach will enhance the experience for visitors at our facilities while responding to both inquiries and operational needs.

Key Responsibilities:

• Set up and clean arenas for community events

• Conduct regular maintenance on ice surfaces

• Provide janitorial support for public facilities

• Answer and direct inquiries from the public

• Ensure all safety regulations are adhered to during operations

Requirements:

• Completion of senior secondary school or equivalent

• Valid Class 5 BC Driver’s Licence is mandatory

• Valid British Columbia Refrigeration Operator Certificate required

• Police information check for new hires

• Flexibility to work various hours and days
