Psychiatrist - General

We are seeking a full-time Neuropsychiatrist or General Psychiatrist with relevant training and experience to join the multidisciplinary team and oversee the 12-bed Neuropsychiatry Unit at Hillside Centre.

The responsibilities for this role include, but are not limited to:

• Provide comprehensive neuropsychiatric assessments for adults with significant complexity.
• Lead the multidisciplinary team (nurses, SW, OT, PT, Psychology, Neuropsychology) and participate in treatment planning conferences.
• Participate in BC Neuropsychiatry rounds, held virtually, on a weekly basis.
• Act as a resource for referring psychiatrists/teams and support the transfer of care to partners on discharge.
• Synthesize and apply a customized biopsychosocial framework, and translate into care recommendations and plans.
• Advocate for patients supporting re-integration to their home communities.
• Participate in general psychiatry call at RIH.
