As a Hospitalist, you will collaborate with the General Internal Medicine Service to provide essential care for complex patients, primarily in a geriatric population. Your responsibilities will also include teaching clerks, engaging in quality assurance initiatives, and implementing effective discharge planning. Excellent clinical judgment and communication skills are vital in this position.
Key Responsibilities:
• Provide General Medical Care to adult patients with co-morbidities
• Work collaboratively with orthopedic, psychiatric, and trauma care teams
• Teach and guide medical interns and clerks
• Actively participate in community health initiatives
• Flexible schedule with mandatory on-call duties
Requirements:
• CMPA registration is mandatory
• CCFP eligibility required
• Current licensing with BC Medical College necessary
• Strong people management capabilities
• Exceptional clinical skills and legible handwriting
