Assistant Teaching Professor- Chemistry

Position Overview

The Department of Physical Sciences at Thompson Rivers University (TRU) invites applications for a 2-year Limited Term Contract faculty position in Chemistry at the rank of Assistant Teaching Professor to commence July 1, 2026.

The successful candidate will teach a second‑year physical chemistry lecture and labs, first‑year general chemistry lectures and labs, and organic chemistry labs not currently covered by faculty.

Candidates should have a strong background in general chemistry, laboratory instruction, and a commitment to excellence in teaching undergraduate chemistry, as well as experience in undergraduate curriculum development.

Experience in developing undergraduate curriculum is advantageous, and near completion of a doctoral degree (or completion) is a requirement.

Established teaching experience at the post‑secondary level is an asset.

External candidates will be required to bring a copy of their transcripts to the interview.
