Position: Math Teaching Position at Merritt Secondary
MERRITT SECONDARY SCHOOL invites applications for a 1.0 FTE temporary Math and FIM Math teaching role, commencing September 1, 2026, through June 30, 2027. Focus on inclusive education and diverse learning.

This role requires a valid BC Teaching Certificate and aptitude for tailoring materials to meet grade-level student needs. Ideal applicants have a passion for supporting social-emotional learning and are devoted to establishing strong partnerships with students, parents, and other educators.

Key Responsibilities:

• Customize learning resources for varied student needs

• Implement effective assessments and learning strategies

• Cultivate positive relationships with the school community

• Work as a part of a collaborative educational team

• Address the social-emotional aspects of learning

Requirements:

• Holding a valid BC Teaching Certificate

• Experience with adapting materials and resources

• Teaching category five or above

• A dedication to inclusive education

• Background in supporting diverse student populations
