SCIDES Senior Math and Electives Teacher

Take on a temporary part-time role teaching Senior Math and Electives at SOUTH CENTRAL INTERIOR DISTANCE EDUCATION SCHOOL, serving Grades 8 to 12. This position runs from July 2 until August 28, 2026.

The ideal candidate will have extensive experience working with secondary school students and proficiency in Brightspace learning management system. Your adaptability in tailoring educational materials to different learning styles and a commitment to building relationships within the school community are essential for this role.

Key Responsibilities:

• Deliver engaging lessons in Senior Math for Grades 8-12

• Adapt resources and assessments to support diverse learning

• Utilize Brightspace for effective teaching and student engagement

• Support students' emotional and social learning needs

• Work collaboratively with school staff to enhance learning outcomes

Requirements:

• BC Teaching Certificate and category five or higher

• Experience in secondary education and with BC Curriculum

• Willingness to travel as needed for regional support

• Familiarity with educational standards for distributed learning
