As a crucial member of the Learning Design and Innovations Department, this position serves candidates from the Secwépemc Nation. You will collaborate with faculty and community members to facilitate the incorporation of Secwépemc knowledge into courses and educational materials. Your efforts will promote reconciliation and honor Indigenous ways of knowing in higher education.
Key Responsibilities:
• Ensure new curricula reflect Indigenous knowledge respectfully
• Conduct essential research to bolster Indigenous histories
• Collaborate with faculty on course evaluations and design
• Guide curriculum transformation for diverse learning needs
• Develop culturally appropriate educational resources
Requirements:
• Must demonstrate Secwépemc Nation citizenship
• Completed Master’s degree, PhD preferred
• Lived experience in Indigenous contexts
• Knowledge of multiple Indigenous cultures
• Experience facilitating post-secondary learning
Support TRU in fostering education that respects and celebrates Secwépemc heritage.
