Working within the Language and Culture Department, you'll be responsible for overseeing camp operations and ensuring a safe, educational environment. Eligible applicants must be a high school student returning next year and have proven Aboriginal or Inuit status. You'll coordinate programs, recruit knowledgeable staff, and engage community members throughout the camp.
Key Responsibilities:
• Develop and oversee camp programs and services
• Recruit and train staff for language instruction
• Maintain compliance with childcare regulations
• Ensure camper safety and well-being
• Lead activities and manage camper supervision
Requirements:
• Must be a returning high-school student (Grade 11 or below)
• First aid and reliable transportation certifications required
• Lifeguard certification is preferred
• Experience with youth in Indigenous contexts is a plus
• Valid Criminal Record Check required for employment
