As the Camp Coordinator, you will manage all aspects of the Tkek Yeel Stem Camp's operations, ensuring the successful implementation of engaging summer programs. Collaborate with the Language and Culture Department Manager while guiding staff to meet the camp's educational goals.
Your role will also involve promoting traditional knowledge and building community relations.
Key Responsibilities:
• Oversee planning and implementation of camp programs
• Ensure compliance with laws and camp policies
• Act as a liaison between various stakeholders
• Promote camp to prioritize TteS members
• Hire staff and manage budgeting efficiently
Requirements:
• Knowledgeable in Secwépemc language and culture
• Two years supervisory experience, especially in Indigenous settings
• First aid and lifesaving certifications are advantageous
• Proven ability to work with youth
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
Serve as an empowering force for youth through language and cultural programming at the Tkek Yeel Stem Camp.
