Dean, Faculty of Education and Social Work

As the chief academic and administrative officer, the Dean reports to the Provost and Vice‑President Academic and Research and is responsible for leading the articulation and implementation of EDSW's evolving strategic plan in education, research, outreach, and professional development.

The successful candidate will have an earned doctorate, a strong record of advocacy, service, innovation, scholarly engagement, and a deep appreciation for research, teaching, and service. They will possess excellent interpersonal and communication skills, be knowledgeable about trends and issues in education and social work across diverse settings (urban, rural, and remote), and have experience as an inspirational leader and mentor.

The Dean will possess an authentic, open, transparent, and collegial leadership style and the ability to collaborate with colleagues to plan EDSW’s future.
