Position: Respiratory Therapy Teaching Position at TRU
Join Thompson Rivers University as an Assistant Teaching Professor in the Respiratory Therapy Program. This tenure-track role involves teaching critical assessment and application of respiratory practices.

The successful candidate will be part of the Allied Health Department, expected to engage in dynamic educational practices across classroom and simulation settings. Ideal applicants will demonstrate teamwork, communication, and a commitment to scholarly activities. Experience in anesthesia and interdisciplinary research will also be valued.

Key Responsibilities:

• Teach on respiratory assessment theory and practice effectively

• Engage students in laboratory and simulation environments

• Contribute to knowledge dissemination and educational projects

• Mentor students and lead educational initiatives

• Participate in research activity related to respiratory therapy

Requirements:

• Baccalaureate degree in relevant field;
Master’s preferred

• Valid RRT credential from a recognized program

• At least 3 years of formal teaching experience

• 5+ years of recent clinical experience

• Demonstrated effective communication and teamwork skills
