Position: Itinerant K to 12 Counseling Role
Location: Merritt

Take on the Itinerant K to 12 Counseling position with School District 58 beginning September 1, 2026. Engage with students and staff to promote social-emotional well-being.

Candidates must possess a master’s degree in counseling, along with an understanding of BC curricula and inclusive education. In this full-time role, you will enhance social-emotional learning and work directly with school staff to implement effective counseling programs.

Experience with grade-level students is essential for fostering positive relationships.

Key Responsibilities:

• Foster individual and group counseling environments

• Assist with social-emotional learning initiatives

• Collaborate with staff and School-Based Teams

• Conduct conflict resolution sessions with students

• Promote inclusionary practices in educational settings

Requirements:

• Master’s degree in counseling required

• Valid BC Teaching Certificate necessary

• Experience in BC Secondary curricula

• Demonstrated ability supporting diverse learning needs

• Commitment to Indigenous student support
