Position: K to 12 Counselor in Princeton District
Location: Merritt

Exciting full-time K to 12 Counseling position available at School District 58 in Princeton, starting September 1, 2026. Focus on integrating social-emotional learning for students.

This role requires a master’s degree in counseling and experience with BC educational practices. As an itinerant counselor, you will work closely with students across various grade levels and collaborate with staff to provide vital support.

Your role will also include addressing the needs of Indigenous students to foster an inclusive environment.

Key Responsibilities:

• Deliver individualized and group counseling support

• Promote social-emotional learning in schools

• Liaise with School-Based Teams for effective service delivery

• Help implement inclusionary practices across grades

• Manage conflict resolution effectively

Requirements:

• Master’s degree in counseling needed

• Necessary BC Teaching Certificate

• Familiarity with BC Secondary education

• Proven skills in supporting diverse student groups

• Training in Indigenous student support preferred
