Indigenous Early Childhood Educators

Position: Indigenous Early Childhood Educators Needed
Location: Merritt

NVIT is actively hiring term instructors for Indigenous Early Childhood Education (IECE) courses, taught across various campuses and online. This role demands engagement with both onsite and digital teaching methods.

The term instructors will be responsible for delivering IECE courses, creating a transformative educational experience for students. Candidates must have a Master’s Degree in a related field along with ECE qualifications, and prior experience with children aged 3 to 12. This position also emphasizes collaboration and a strong understanding of Indigenous education methods, contributing positively to both the academic and local community.

Key Responsibilities:

• Teach gifted coursework in the IECE program

• Collaborate on course schedules with Community Education

• Deliver instruction in both onsite and online formats

• Effectively engage with Indigenous adult learners

• Foster positive relationships within school and community

Requirements:

• Master’s Degree in a related field

• ECE Certificate and Diploma required

• Experience in child care settings

• Strong interpersonal and communication skills

• Preference for Aboriginal applicants

Contribute to the growth of Indigenous education through dedicated instruction and community involvement in the IECE program.
