Join School District #73 as a District Resource Room Teacher, effective September 1, 2026, focusing on supporting students with intellectual disabilities. This role emphasizes individualized instruction and transitions into adulthood.

In this term certain position, you will develop Individual Education Plans (IEPs) that align with students' strengths and needs. Your responsibilities will include teaching life skills, fostering social-emotional learning, and supporting executive functioning. Work collaboratively with families and community groups to ensure student success and integrate students into the school environment.

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop and implement Individual Education Plans (IEPs)

• Provide functional academic instruction with assistive technology

• Teach essential life and adaptive skills effectively

• Support executive functioning through structured routines

• Foster social-emotional learning and behavior support planning

Requirements:

• Valid BC Teaching Certificate or eligibility

• Experience teaching students with intellectual disabilities

• Proven ability to develop IEPs and functional curricula

• Understanding of UDL and ABA practices

• Strong communication and organizational skills
