Join UBCO’s Indigenous Initiatives as the Community Liaison and Instructor Coordinator for the Bachelor of Nłeʔkepmx Language Fluency program. Engage with students and community stakeholders to drive internships and projects.

This part-time position (0.8 FTE) is crucial for fostering relationships between students and external partners like NVIT and Tribal Councils. You will support language instruction and manage internship opportunities, ensuring students succeed in their educational journey. Collaborate closely with faculty and manage key operational aspects of the program.

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop and maintain relationships with community partners

• Promote and manage internship opportunities for students

• Provide public-facing support for student recruitment

• Administer and improve internship agreements and processes

• Collaborate with faculty on assessing intern success

Requirements:

• Experience in community engagement and relationship building

• Strong organizational and administrative skills

• Familiarity with educational systems and internship management

• Ability to work independently with initiative

• Commitment to Indigenous initiatives and student success
