Overview

Our Lady of Perpetual Help (OLPH) School is located in Kamloops, BC. The school enrolls approximately 160 students from Kindergarten to Grade Seven. OLPH is seeking applications for a part-time 0.4 FTE teaching position commencing September 1, 2026.

Preference will be given to candidates who possess:

• An active membership in a Catholic parish
• A commitment to excellence in Catholic education
• A Bachelor of Education Degree
• A valid BC Certification
• Demonstrated successful experience in Elementary education
• Well-versed in the ability to integrate Catholic teaching and culture in the classroom
• Aptitude to differentiate instruction based on student needs
• Knowledge of current instructional practices and the renewed curriculum
• Ability to work collaboratively with another teacher as part of a job-share arrangement and contribute positively to a larger school team
• Demonstrated ability to use a variety of current instructional strategies and assessment methods
• Excellent and proven classroom management skills
• Exceptional communication strategies with students, staff and parents
• A genuine sense of joy in teaching and learning
• A desire to provide leadership of extracurricular activities

• Teach elementary students with a focus on effective instruction and student learning
• Differentiate instruction to meet diverse learner needs
• Collaborate with another teacher as part of a job-share arrangement and contribute to the school team
• Utilize a variety of instructional strategies and assessment methods
• Maintain effective classroom management and a positive learning environment
• Maintain clear and proactive communication with students, staff, and parents
• Provide leadership and involvement in extracurricular activities as appropriate
