Position: Term Instructors for BSW Program
Location: Merritt

Help shape future social workers at NVIT in Burnaby, BC, as a Term Instructor. Engage face-to-face with Indigenous learners in enriching Social Work courses this Fall 2026.

NVIT is seeking qualified Term Instructors for its unique Indigenous-centred Bachelor of Social Work Program. Focused on SOCW 306 and SOCW 402, you will contribute to a program integral to the community. The ideal candidate will possess advanced teaching expertise and a proven commitment to Indigenous social work theory and practice.

Key Responsibilities:

• Teach SOCW 306 and SOCW 402 courses during Fall 2026

• Engage face-to-face with students and facilitate discussions

• Incorporate Indigenous perspectives in curriculum delivery

• Foster strong relationships with Indigenous communities

• Support student learning in the classroom

Requirements:

• Master of Social Work Degree (MSW) required

• Minimum two years teaching at college or university

• Experience with Indigenous adult learners

• Knowledge of Indigenous social work practices

• Familiarity with Moodle, Teams, and Outlook
