Position: Indigenous Education Worker for Student Support
Become an Indigenous Education Worker with School District No. 73 on the relief roster. Help guide Indigenous students with your cultural expertise and support.

In this role, you'll provide assistance to Indigenous students as they navigate their educational journeys. It's essential that candidates have Indigenous ancestry and a comprehensive understanding of cultural dynamics and contemporary issues. Educational qualifications require a Grade 12 diploma and one year of relevant post-secondary training, alongside two years of experience with children.

Key Responsibilities:

• Support academic development of Indigenous students

• Teach about Indigenous cultural practices and history

• Travel to remote communities as required

• Partner with educators to enhance educational outcomes

• Involve families in the learning process

Requirements:

• Completed Grade 12 and related post-secondary education

• Minimum two years’ experience working with children

• Valid B.C. Driver's License

• Assets include Indigenous language skills

• Experience in the Indigenous community a plus
