Step into a Term Instructor role at NVIT, where you will teach writing, literature, and strategies for success with a hybrid delivery model starting September 2025.

NVIT is looking for qualified Term Instructors to offer courses such as ENGL 050, ENGL 060, and STSC 101 in collaboration with Lax Kw’alaams First Nations. Applicants should possess experience in teaching Aboriginal adult learners, strong communication skills, and the ability to problem-solve independently. This role is vital in shaping the educational experiences of students.

Key Responsibilities:

• Instruct courses in Writing Skills, Literature, and Strategies for Success

• Implement hybrid format for optimal learning experiences

• Promote inclusivity for Aboriginal adult learners

• Collaborate with local First Nations for effective course delivery

• Assess and enhance course content and learning materials

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s Degree in a related field or equivalent

• Preferred experience teaching Aboriginal adult learners

• Strong oral and written communication skills

• Independent problem-solving abilities

• Knowledge of Indigenous history and cultures
