Position: Success Centre Writing Tutor Role

Enhance educational outcomes as a Success Centre Writing Tutor at Nicola Valley Institute of Technology in Merritt, British Columbia. Embrace an inclusive approach while supporting student learning and engagement.

This role requires you to provide personalized tutoring, support holistic wellness, and collaborate effectively with the Student Success Centre team. You will reinforce understanding of academic material and promote a culture of diversity within the educational space. Your contributions will help students thrive academically and participate in enriching activities.

Key Responsibilities:

• Offer personalized tutoring and academic support to students

• Collaborate with staff to enhance student engagement

• Promote workshops and cultural activities within the campus

• Assist with understanding specific subject material

• Maintain the Success Centre’s organization and functionality

Requirements:

• Relevant Bachelor’s degree, ideally in English

• Background in Universal Design or Special Education

• Awareness of Indigenous languages and cultures

• Strong written and verbal communication skills

• Flexibility to accommodate varied work hours
