Play a pivotal role at NVIT in Burnaby, BC, as a Term Instructor for the Bachelor of Social Work. Deliver culturally relevant courses to Indigenous learners starting Fall 2026.

NVIT anticipates hiring Term Instructors to educate future social workers in a unique Indigenous-focused program. You will deliver SOCW 306 and SOCW 402 while enriching student experiences through community engagement and relationship-building. Candidates should be well-versed in Indigenous social work theory and teaching practices.

Key Responsibilities:

• Teach courses SOCW 306 and SOCW 402 this Fall 2026

• Develop meaningful learning experiences for students

• Integrate Indigenous approaches in teaching methods

• Collaborate with Indigenous social service agencies

• Contribute positively to NVIT's educational community

Requirements:

• Master of Social Work Degree (MSW) necessary

• At least two years of college or university teaching

• Experience with Indigenous adult learning environments

• Expertise in Indigenous social work methodologies

• Proficient in Moodle, Teams, and Outlook platforms
