Chemistry and Math Teacher Grades 9-12

Join MERRITT SECONDARY SCHOOL as a full-time Chemistry and Math teacher for grades 9 to 12 starting September 1, 2026.

Your role will be vital in nurturing student engagement and success in learning.

This 1.0 FTE temporary teaching position requires innovative educators ready to instruct Math 9, Science 10, and Chemistry at levels 11 & 12. Your expertise in adapting lessons for various learning styles will be crucial in supporting students' academic journeys.

Key Responsibilities:

• Teach grade-level Math and Science subjects

• Adapt materials and assessments to fit learner needs

• Implement BC Curriculum in classroom instruction

• Build strong relationships with students and parents

• Engage with school staff to enhance student learning

Requirements:

• BC Teaching Certificate required

• Relevant teaching experience with grade-level students

• Understanding of BC Curriculum necessary

• Must have teaching category five or higher

• Commitment to fostering a supportive learning environment
