Shape future social workers as a Term Instructor for NVIT's Bachelor of Social Work in Merritt, BC, focusing on both hybrid and online teaching methods.
The position starts in September 2026 and involves teaching courses such as SOCW 402 and SOCW 461. Qualified applicants need a Master of Social Work Degree and at least two years of college teaching experience.
Experience with Indigenous social work theory and practices is required, as this program serves Indigenous adult learners.
Key Responsibilities:
• Instruct courses including SOCW 320 and SOCW 466
• Create engaging hybrid and online learning experiences
• Build relationships with Indigenous service agencies
• Contribute to the community and school environment
• Utilize Moodle, Teams, and Outlook for teaching
Requirements:
• Master of Social Work Degree (MSW)
• Two years teaching experience required
• Familiarity with Indigenous adult education practices
• Knowledge in Indigenous social work concepts
• Ability to teach in a hybrid format
