SOUTH CENTRAL INTERIOR DISTANCE EDUCATION SCHOOL is seeking a part-time Grade 4 to 8 Teacher in Kelowna, BC, starting September 8, 2026. Embrace the chance to engage diverse learners and utilize Brightspace effectively.

This temporary 0.80 FTE position will run until June 30, 2027. Ideal candidates will have experience with grade-level students and a solid understanding of the BC Curriculum. The role includes adapting resources and assessments to meet student needs while fostering social-emotional learning.

Key Responsibilities:

• Deliver engaging lessons for Grades 4 to 8

• Adapt materials and assessments for diverse learners

• Utilize Brightspace for effective lesson management

• Collaborate with staff and families on student support

• Travel throughout the region as required

Requirements:

• Valid BC Teaching Certificate and Teaching category five or higher

• Experience working with diverse student needs

• Knowledge of K-12 Distributed Learning Standards

• Commitment to positive student relationships

• Willingness to support social-emotional learning
