Take on a meaningful role as an Indigenous Education Support Worker in Golden Secondary School with Rocky Mountain School District
6. This position emphasizes cultural support and student success.
Effective September 8, 2026, this part-time (0.4 FTE) role is essential for providing resources and support to Indigenous learners. You will engage with families, district staff, and partners to promote educational success and community involvement. This collaborative position supports strategic educational objectives within the framework of Truth and Reconciliation.
Key Responsibilities:
• Facilitate collaboration between families and school staff
• Assist in data collection to enhance student interventions
• Guide staff in Indigenous teaching methodologies
• Promote student engagement in school and community activities
• Help gather information for Individual Education Plans
Requirements:
• Completion of Indigenous Education Support Worker diploma or similar
• Experience with Indigenous students in education settings
• Valid driver's license
• Knowledge of community resources available to students
• Strong communication skills fostering collaboration
