Part-Time Education Assistant

Heritage Christian Online School seeks a Part-Time Education Assistant to enhance the learning experience for students in Kamloops. Work from Wednesdays, focusing on academic and social support for K-6 students.

In this role, you will be integral to the Inclusive Education Department, providing support both individually and in small groups. The position operates one day a week, with potential to expand hours as the school year progresses based on needs. Collaboration with teachers and parents ensures personalized educational interventions and achievement of IEP goals.

Key Responsibilities:

• Support students’ social, spiritual, and academic growth

• Engage students in one-on-one and small group settings

• Collaborate with educators and parents for tailored learning

• Assist the broader team in implementing IEP goals

• Mentor in alignment with Biblical attributes of HCOS

Requirements:

• Experience in Education or related child support fields

• A valid Educational Assistant certificate is an asset

• Strong interpersonal and emotional intelligence

• Technically proficient in educational tools

• Alignment with KCCS foundational beliefs
