Senior Project Manager – British Columbia Transportation Lead

Join us as we continue to transform British Columbia’s transportation infrastructure. The Senior Project Manager / British Columbia Transportation Lead will manage a team of design managers, professional engineers, and technicians, overseeing projects through all lifecycle phases.
Reporting directly to the Western Canada Director of Transportation, you will provide operational leadership, serve as a key point of contact with clients, and grow our transportation business throughout British Columbia.
Additional Responsibilities
Grow the transportation engineering and management business practice within the transportation group business throughout British Columbia.
Oversee the establishment of the Project Execution Plan, Health and Safety Plan, and Quality Assurance/Quality Control Plan Documents.
Act as the company representative with the client and selected subcontractors during program execution.
Supervise the work of transportation engineers and design technicians on various‑sized transportation projects.
Provide technical excellence and oversee the preparation of high‑quality highway design engineering deliverables, serving as Engineer of Record and/or Coordinating Professional.
Provide project management for transportation and multi‑disciplinary transportation projects for our clients, specifically BC Ministry of Transportation, on large‑scale projects to meet project scope, schedule, and budget.
Oversee and/or prepare contract documents, cost estimates, reports, and proposals.
Provide direction and mentoring to junior and intermediate engineers and design technicians.
Staff recruitment to fulfill resourcing needs and workload planning for the British Columbia transportation team.
Actively participate in and promote the Quality Improvement Program.
Perform other responsibilities associated with this position as may be appropriate.
Required Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in engineering or related technical/business field.
5+ years of related engineering design and leadership experience.
Professional Engineer registration with active membership and good standing with Engineers and Geoscientists of British Columbia (EGBC).
BC Ministry of Transportation and Transit (BC MoTT) project experience is desirable.
Thorough knowledge of industry practices and regulations.
A combination of Design‑Build and Design‑Bid‑Build experience is ideal.
Ability to manage projects, interface with clients, and enjoy working technically hands‑on while leading engineers on Parsons projects.
Excellent written and oral communication.
Salary Range
$121,900 - $226,500
